In an upcoming update to the SQPRO host software, the Router icon will be replaced by this new Connections Panel.

It will look like this (below) if you have an Internet connection, which will now allow you to optionally connect players to SQPRO over the WEB using a Player PIN rather than an SQHUB.
As well as allowing SQPRO to now be played remotely from people’s homes, this new feature could be useful in emergencies where a Hub is lost or broken if the venue happens to have adequate Internet coverage.

Connecting a Pocket Hub will now look like this.

Connecting a Ruckus device will look like this.

Hosts who are used to using Orange Mode (Using their own LAN instead of a SpeedQuizzing HUB) now have two options.

Although WEB PIN mode is going to be a great ad-hoc way to host SQPRO and as a fallback in situations where a HUB isn’t an option, in 99% of ‘In venue’ situations, using an SQ HUB or Ruckus is always going to yield the most reliable results.
Important. The new Remote WEB functionality MUST NOT be used to stream SpeedQuizzing INTO pubs, bars or venues and we reserve the right to disable your user account with immediate effect if this term is breached.
